His personal life is quite similar.  He carries a private pilot license with instrument rating, SCUBA, Boating, and motorcycle endorsements, and is a certified NRA instructor/range officer. 

He is a tax, tip & gratuity fanatic; founder of Gratasoft Solutions and TipCompliance.com, panelist and expert witness, with 3 tip patent submissions. 

He is an active volunteer for many worthy causes.  A volunteer firefighter, Merchant Association Board Member & President, and presently overseeing 183 acres of protected open space with 5 miles of maintained trails; coordinating local volunteers, with the help of a Kubota diesel tractor and a JD Gator 6×4.
